As was expected, Maggie has started to detoxify through her eyes and they are goopy and green. She also is expelling yeast from her ears. With six years of antibiotics and cortizone suppressing her body's ability to expel toxins, it was bound to come out, once it was given the chance. We will not be using any suppressive drugs to mask these symptoms. Rather just keeping her eyes and ears clear with a herbal wash. Otherwise she is doing well, her attitude is good and she loves the food. She has been whining when pooping though, which would indicate constipation. So we're cutting back on the bones and we are sending her digestive enzymes tomorrow. She has been given pretty much just chicken and vegetable blend and beef with vegetable blend as well as beef recreational bones. We sent along plenty of bones, to help ease her boredom, but we think the bone content might be just a little too much for a dog with limited activity. So this week we'll up the muscle meat diets, maybe introduce some lamb and vegetable blend and reduce the chicken variety. I've posted the picture of Maggie's weepy eyes, as I posted in the beginning, we'll give you the good, the bad and the ugly. I've also posted a nice picture of Maggie, so you can also see the sweet girl that she is. And if I'm not mistaken this picture of her right side looks improved from the original right side picture. It looks like she's even gotten some hair growth in the last two weeks as the darker "elephant" skin looks smaller. Looking forward to further improvements ...
